The Irish Tenors
Last season their Holiday Spectacular sold out – now back by popular demand, The Irish Tenors present their Spectacular Irish Show! Starring Finbar Wright, Anthony Kearns and Karl Scully – all gifted interpreters of a wide range of material. Songs such as
My Heart Will Go On, Fairytale of New York, and even Jimmy Kennedy’s South Of The Border, live comfortably in their repertoire alongside classics like My Wild Irish Rose, and an acclaimed rendition of Danny Boy. The Irish Tenors are one of the most succcessful Irish touring acts ever – second only to U2! This is a night of music that touches the soul!
The Irish Tenors
On February 23rd, The Irish Tenors are set to release their new album, Ireland, which explores the depth of Ireland's most famous and regarded songs. This collection of music pays tribute to traditional Irish heritage as well as modern Irish tunes Included are songs "The Rocky Road to Dublin" originally performed in the 19th century by Harry Clifton, "Galway Bay" which has been a hit around the world for Irish emigrants, and the well known songs "Danny Boy" and "Whiskey In The Jar". In time for festive Irish holiday, The Irish Tenors will perform in the New York City St Patrick's Day Parade as well as tour the United States this March (See tour dates ). "When searching for a title for our latest album, we decided to just call it simply 'Ireland', for this nation's musical tradition , like any respectable whiskey, has been maturing gracefully for thousands of years and when you settle down to listen to this fine album, hopefully it will pour you a glass of beauty and you will savour every drop and let your mind rest for a while on the island of Ireland. The Muses have been extra kind to the Irish and there is no shortage of songs (or whiskey!) and every album is a chance to bring you a different vintage, a collection that you will know and love. Curtain Calls are your opportunity to learn more about the creative process with our visiting artists. These informal pre- or post-performance discussions, all held at the Van Wezel, are FREE and open to the public. No tickets are required. Please join us!
A group begins with as few as 20 people attending the same performance, and is a great way to get together with friends and family or treat your employees and clients.
Group Perks
Group purchases enjoy a 10% discount from regular prices for most performances. We also offer personal group representatives to aid with handling the specific details of your event. Convenient motor coach parking is available to make arrivals and departures a snap, and pre-show meals can be easily handled by our special on-site catering. Pre or post show performer chats are also sometimes available for many performances.

A 25% non-refundable down payment is required and full payment is due no later than 60 days prior to the performance. Tickets are mailed when full payment is received.

Special Requests
The Van Wezel strives to ensure that all people, regardless of ability, can enjoy our programming and our facility. Both the Main and Bayside lobbies are now completely accessible to people with disabilities. If you have a special request for accessible seating or special assistance materials, please contact the Box Office at 941-953-3368 at least three weeks in advance of the event. Elevators in both lobbies provide easy access to all levels of the Hall, including the Grand Foyer and Auditorium. In the auditorium, wheelchair seating is available in Sections A and C. Wheelchair patrons can be accommodated in restrooms off both lobbies.
For the Hard of Hearing
The Van Wezel offers the Sennheiser Infrared listening system. The Sennheiser system makes it possible for those with a hearing loss of up to 75% to hear a program from any seat in the auditorium. Sennheiser headsets are available for use free of charge in both lobbies before each show.
Patrons in Wheelchairs
Patrons in wheelchairs may enter through automatic doors in both Main and Bayside lobbies on ground level (no stairs). Only disabled patrons with tickets in wheelchair section may use the free parking facilities on the circle outside the Main Entrance. Your cooperation is requested. Additional free parking for handicapped is provided in the regular parking area. Cars must have necessary identification to qualify for these special arrangements. Wheelchair patrons can be accommodated in restrooms off both lobbies. There is a wheelchair on the premises for emergency use, thanks to the generosity of Easter Seals.
